Monthly Archives: April 2007

I know, I know… I haven’t posted as much as I would have liked in the past two/three weeks, but today is a very special day! It is the 3 month anniversary of this blog! Woo! I’m really liking WordPress now that I’m use to it. A few quick stats for all you information addicts like me:

  • Days alive: 60
  • Post count: 15 (I’m going to aim for about 20 more by the 6 month mark)
  • Word Count: 6361 (That’s a lot!)
  • Character count: 33957
  • Tags: 27 (Not sure if this is average or low?)
  • Posts that I’ve started and not finished: 6 (Yes, I really should finish a few of these)
  • Total views: 765 (I need more!)
  • Best day ever: 61 (Wow, that even shocked me!)
  • Views today so far: 7
  • Spam: 57 (and growing by the day)
  • Best search term: Joost invite (everyone is looking for one of these!)

Enjoy,
Alan.

Sorry for the absence of any posts recently. I have been busy doing many other things. However, I hope to squeeze another post in by the end of the week. I have been wanting to make a list of links for the past while now but never really got around to do it ’til now.

So here is April’s list of links:

  1. I know this isn’t new but it’s a great idea for a website.
Basically it’s a Time Sensitive CSS Switcher, which means that depending on the time of day, a visitor to your site will see the time of day reflected in your site design.

  2. If your looking for inspiration for a new design for your website look no further. Here are some great designs that will inspire you to make a great website
  3. Planning on making the move to Linux? Well on the 19th of this month the next version of Ubuntu is being released, v7.04, catch it here:
  4. Like Google Maps? How about a Google Map customised for your site?
  5. Can’t wait til Joost is released? Sign up for the newsletter and follow the blog on the Joost site. v0.9.1! Its getting closer to 1.0!
  6. A new startup which is currently in the invitation stage, called GrooveShark, is willing to pay you for sharing music! Not sure exactly how that works but according to the site : “GroovesharkTM is an online service that rewards you for sharing, reviewing, and discovering new music. Come take a dip.” Sounds good to me! Enter your email address on the homepage to get on the invitation list but be prepared to wait…
